I needed to sing here because I wanted to show

You are holding my heart (please never let go)
G -------------------------------- Am --------------
Try to remember on this wonderful night
F ---------------------------- G -
I need you beside me, to help with my fight
C ------------------ Am -
And to say,       I love you,
F --------------------------------- G --
You complete, you make me whole
C ------------------ Am --------
And to say,       I love you,
F ------------- G ------------ C --
With all my mind and soul
1 C ---------------- Am ---------------- F ------ G ------
I wanted,  to sing to you my darling tonight
C ------ Am --------------- F ----------------------------- G -----
Just,    to tell you,  you make my star shine bright, And I
C --------------- Am -
Need you to know
F --------------------------------- G -
How much you mean to me
C ----------------- Am -
And say that, " I love you "
F --------------------------------- G --
So all the world can see

F ------------ G ---------- C     G C
For all the world to see
2 C ---------------- Am ---------- F ---------------------- G --
I wanted,  to say to you, thanks, for being you

Like you are,  and will be, in everything you do, And I

The power when joined as one

F ---------------------- G ------------C------------
Not me and you just us,  from now on
3 Some of you may know that in my spare time I write a little poetry, & sometimes I even set verses to music. Well I thought that if there was ever a time to publicly play one of these songs it would be tonight, captive friendly audience and all. It will be no big shock that it's a love song, for Leah.

Some of the more cynical and world weary may want to start making your way towards containers of various sorts. But you'll be pleased to know that not only is it simple enough to be sung after a few drinks - it's also mercifully short.

OK title originally Tonight,  but it's not really about tonight it's about something even more special. So it's now called "To say I love you".
